WHAT WE DEVELOP
- Skills: Are the campers developing expertise, and are they progressively becoming more skillful in their soccer skills?
- Friendship: Are the campers creating new friends within the camp?
- Health: Are the campers physically able to meet the fitness requirements of the sport? Are they evolving good diet habits befitting a player?
- Fair-minded Play: Do the players demonstrate by words and actions a commitment to sportsmanship? Laws of the Game … do the players know and follow the rules of soccer?
- FUN: Do campers smile and laugh? Do the campers seem excited about the opportunity to play? Parents should inquire, “Did you enjoy yourself today?”
- Leadership: Are the campers being allowed to take on leadership tasks? Are the counselors teaching leadership?
- Tactics: Are the campers investigating new tactics in games?
- Roles in the Lineup: More important than learning a particular soccer position, are the campers learning about positioning on the field? Do all of the players get practice trying all the positions?
